Tomato is an important vegetable crop in the Caribbean region but is affected by many bacterial, fungal and viral diseases which have contributed to serious yield losses in recent years. The Plant-Microbe research team of DLS, UWI-STA, conducted extensive survey during the period of 2014-2016, in some Caribbean islands including, Grenada, St. Lucia, Dominica, Antigua, Guadeloupe, Suriname and Guyana. Results revealed the prevalence of twenty important diseases in tomatoes, with severity scales for different planting seasons.
