Control of anthracnose and powdery mildew of mango with systemic and non-systemic fungicides
Benomyl, maneb followed by tribasic copper sulphate and captafol were tested on mango for control of anthracnose (Colletotrichum gloeosporioides Penz.) and powdery mildew (Oidium sp). All fungicidal treatments reduced anthracnose lesions on the fruit. Benomyl at 0·3 g/1 (active ingredient) in the spray gave the best control of anthracnose lesions on the fruit and increased yields; it also controlled powdery mildew on the panicles.
