Laboratory rearing of Cerotoma arcuate (Oliv.), a beetle vector of cowpea severe mosaic virus
The cluysomelid beetle, Cerotoma arcuata (Oliv.), a vector of Cowpea Severe Mosaic Virus, was reared in the laboratory for the first time using two techniques of larval rearing; these techniques are described. The life cycle of the beetle was found to last 24-29 days from egg to adult.
