Differential fertigation response of Nagpur mandarin (Citrus reticulata Blanco) on an alkaline Inceptisol under the sub-humid tropical climate of Central India. (97)
Various irrigation and fertilizer levels singly and in combination were evaluated through fertigation in terms of response on the tree growth, fruit yield, quality, and leaf nutrient composition of Nagpur mandarin (Citrus reticulata Blanco) budded on rough lemon (C. jambhiri Lush.) on an alkaline calcareous Lithic Ustochrept under the hot sub-humid tropical climate of Central India. Irrigation at 20% depletion of available water content and fertilizer treatment of 500 g N+ 140 g P + 70 g K tree-1 yr-1 were observed to be the optimum irrigation and fertilizer requirement, respectively. Combined application of these two treatments produced a significantly (P < 0.05) higher magnitude of fruit yield per cubic metre of canopy in addition to higher N, P, and K status, coupled with other fruit quality parameters.
