Abstract
One hundred point-of-lay birds were randomly allotted into five groups of 20 birds each and fed on five testing diets containing 0%, 15%, 30%, 45%, and 60% sweet potato meal as a replacement for maize. Egg production, egg weight, and feed efficiency were significantly (P < 0.05) affected at 60% substitution. The result indicates that peeled sweet potato meal can replace 7 5% of maize or constitute 45% of laying diet without adverse effect on layers' performance.
