Abstract

Seed protein profile of 17 Sesbania species were analysed by sodium dodecylsulfate – polyacrylamide gel electrophoresis (SDS-PAGE) and 15 species were found to have species-specific protein profiles. A scheme for identifying Sesbania species based on SDS-PAGE of seed protein is therefore proposed.
