Abstract
Length, width and area of leaves of guava (Psidium guajava L. cv Beaumont) trees were measured, and linear dimensions were used to develop an equation to estimate leaf area. Leaf area was highly correlated with leaf
length and width. The equation developed by regression analysis to estimate leaf area was A= 16.44-3.llL + 0.58L2 where A is leaf area (cm2) and Lis leaf length (cm). This model was more accurate than other leaf area models for guava and provided a rapid non-destructive method for estimating leaf area of 'Beaumont' guava trees in the field.
