Abstract
Two trials, one with starter broiler chicks from one to six weeks of age and the other with finishers from 6 to 11 weeks of age, were carried out to determine the maximum concentration at which Stylosanthes guyanensis (stylo) meal may be incorporated into the diet. On the basis of food consumption, weight gain food to gain ratio and carcass yield, starter broiler chicks should not be fed any stylo meal, while broilers in the finishing phase should not be fed stylo meal in excess of five per cent of the diet.
