Abstract
Inter-cultivar heterogeneity of regression coefficient which provide non-destructive estimates of leaf area from linear measurements is discussed with particular reference to pigeon pea. When the calculation of an individual regression equation for each cultivar is impracticable, rapid non-destructive estimates of leaf area may be made from a reference table used in conjunction with correction factors based on characteristic leaf dimensions.
