Abstract

The conceptual framework of custom prescribed tillage (CPT) is used as a tool and an aid in developing tillage system concepts and in designing necessary implements. The prescribed tillage system presented for an adhesive clay soil in a specific location with a specific climate shows much promise; however, it needs further development and refinement before production use. The framework of the CPT concept is used rather qualitatively to obtain the solution to a management problem associated with a particular clay soil structure.
