Abstract
Decoctions of Acacia nilotica, A. modesta, Dalbergia sissoo, Azadirachta indica, and Cinnamomum zeylanicum were tested for growth inhibition against Xanthomonas campestris pv. citri strains XC-93, XC-107, XC-109, XC-113, and XC-121. Acacia nilotica showed a high level of inhibition with all strains. Most of the plant extracts tested, significantly (P < 0.05) reduced the number of lesions on detached leaves of citrus compared to a control.
