Evaluation of performance of forage oats in the Highlands of Ethiopia

Abstract


Field trials were conducted on seven varieties of forage oats over three years at four locations in the Ethiopian highlands. Comparisons were made among these varieties for dry matter herbage yields, and samples were taken to determine crude protein, MgO, CaO, and P2O contents, as well as grain yield.
