Abstract

Two-fold and three-fold increases in N application rates above the WINBAN recommended rate of 280 kg ha-1 year-1 increased the potential and harvested yield of bananas at each irrigation level. Although the highest yields were obtained at the highest irrigation and N rates, this was only slightly (and non-significantly) higher than some of the lower N/irrigation combinations. The effects of the different N/irrigation combinations on other growth parameters are also discussed.
