Effect of maturity on the resistance of rice cultivars to sheath blight disease

S. Manian

A relationship has been established between different growth stages of rice cultivars and their resistance to sheath blight disease. In the screening trials most of the highly resistant and resistant cultivars were from the late-maturing cultivars, while the early-maturing cultivars were shown to be susceptible.
