Abstract
One cultivar ('Jaya') of rice was raised and growth regulators - indole acetic acid (IAA), gibberellic acid (GA3), kinetin (Kn) and Ethrel (Eth) - were sprayed at anthesis and repeated after one week. Kn and lAA treatments significantly increased the number of grains per panicle, percentage of filled spikelets, 1000-filled grain weight and yield. GA3 and Eth had little effect on these parameters.
