Drying of maize in a freely ventilated crib with solar air heater in Kenya

Abstract

A solar collector was used to accelerate the rate of drying of stored maize in a naturally ventilated crib. The drying rate was faster due to circulation of hot air in the gram bed. The crib was constructed with the locally available materials and was similar to that used by rural people In Kenya.
