Abstract

The extent of adoption of recommended farm practices in the production of rice among cooperative farmers in selected local government areas of Imo State, Nigeria, was studied. The results show that 69% of the farmers in the survey area were following recommended farm practices for rice production, and analysis shows that extension contact and mass media exposure are significantly related to the adoption of recommended practices, but age and cooperative credit account for less.
