Abstract

Leaf characteristics, leaf index and leaf area, were used to identify the banana cvs 'Robusta' and 'Giant Cavendish'. Two discriminant functions, one with a single characteristic of two standard leaves, numbers 8 and 11, and the other with two characteristics of a single standard leaf, number 8, are presented and discussed.
