Abstract

For every day of storage from the day the guineafowl eggs in laid, the hatchability deteriorated by about 3.84% day-1. If it is unavoidable, however, eggs can be stored for about seven days in either the broad-end-up or sideways position at low temperatures and in a well-ventilated room. The results indicate statistically significant effects (P = 0.05) of the three storage conditions as well as of interactions between them on the hatchability of guineafowl eggs.
