Abstract
One cultivar of tomato (Pusa Ruby) was given seed pretreatment and foliar spray (under field conditions) of two hormones, indole acetic acid (IAA) and gibberellic acid (GA3). GA3 treatment enhanced the percentage germination and growth, while IAA inhibited both. However, the biomass production was significantly promoted by IAA as compared with GA3, both in the seed pretreatment and foliar spray.
