Analysis of data from agricultural experiments

Abstract

When analysing data the objective of the investigation must dominate everything, including the vital choice between testing and estimating. Relevant treatment contrasts are considered for two important cases, namely, quantitative treatments such as increasing doses of a pesticide or fertilizer, and a factorial experiment. Recommendations follow as to presentation, including objections to the use of multiple comparisons as routine.
