Abstract
Algalization alone did not produce a statistically significant increase in rice yield and other yield parameters. When algalization was supplemented with 100 kg ha-1 1of superphosphate profuse algal growth and a higher yield, equivalent to that obtained with 30 kg N ha-1, was observed. Sodium molybdate (0.25 kg ha-1) application did not show any effect on yield, growth parameters and blue-green algae (BGA) growth. Algalization together with 30 kg N ha-1 resulted in better algal growth, but had no significant effect on grain yield in comparison with 30 kg N ha-1 alone.
