Abstract
Six cowpea cultivars, Sel-263, Pusa Dofasli, Pusa Barsati, L-1552, Brown Seeded and Red Seeded, were evaluated in the field for their multiple resistance to bacterial blight, cowpea mosaic virus and anthracnose and for their performance with respect to economic characters such as plant height, days to 50% flowering, pod length, pod weight and pod yield. Sel-263 performed better with respect to these characteristics than the other cultivars. The relationship among diseases and that between disease and yield etc. were found to differ with season.
