Abstract

The cost of carrying out repair and maintenance work for seven years on three models of an agricultural tractor in well-established workshops in Nigeria was investigated. Results show that the average annual repair and maintenance cost expressed as a percentage of the tractor purchase price was 7.3. When compared with values for America and Europe, it was observed that the result for Nigeria was 2-5½ times the American and European values.
