Abstract
The relationship between leaf area and various leaf dimensions is discussed with particular reference to cacao (Theobroma cacao L.). Regression equations to estimate leaf area were derived for each of eight clones (Catongo; MXC 67; ICS 1; ICS 95; SCA 12; IMC 67; TSH 1118; TSH 865), using the regressor which gave the highest coefficient of determination. Comparison of regressions revealed inter-cultivar heterogeneity between the eight clones.
