Abstract

An experiment with 19 different local high-yielding bread wheat varieties originating from Mexican semi-dwarf parents was conducted to determine the response of B with respect to yield and its component characters. Most of the varieties responded well to B for yield and important yield component characters studied. According to the response of B, the varieties were classified as tolerant, moderately tolerant, and non-tolerant. Varieties HD 2329, HD 2233, Sonalika, HD 2214, and HD 2314 were tolerant to B-deficient soil.An experiment with 19 different local high-yielding bread wheat varieties originating from Mexican semi-dwarf parents was conducted to determine the response of B with respect to yield and its component characters.
