Abstract

This paper argues that the UN has not been an effective and efficient international peacekeeper and thus has been unable to fulfil this objective. The paper thus aims to highlight the failure of the United Nations in its role as international peacekeeper. But the very nature of today's highly volatile environment, due in part to the high pace of globalization and the quick turn over of technology, demonstrates that there is still need for the United Nations.
