Abstract

The presentations of this issue of Caribbean Dialogue point to the need for considerable skepticism in the interpretation and use of poverty statistics. Given this, the information provided on World Bank poverty programmes existing in Trinidad and Tobago should give us cause to consider the institutional and political function of poverty.
