Update on the Economy of Jamaica

Abstract

The general objective of this study is to provide information and analysis that would allow policy makers and the broader audiences in CARlCOM countries to make informed choices on national competition policy regimes suited to their conditions, and on competition policy aspects of international trade agreements currently being negotiated. This paper provides an overview for Jamaica and comprises three parts: an Overview of the Macroeconomy of Jamaica; a Description of the Policy Environment and; a Sectoral Outline of the Economy.
