Users are required to register with the journal before subscribing or purchasing an issue or article.

Registering with the Journal  Top

Registration with the journal is necessary to subscribe to the journal and access the issues and articles bought. Users that are registered as authors or reviews are not required to register - their user name and password can be used to logon to the journal.

New users can fill out the registration form. The form is shown in figure 1 below. All the fields are required.

Your user account will have to be enabled by a journal manager before you will be able to logon and subscribe to the journal or purchase issues or articles. The journal manager will send an email to the address provided in this form when the account has been enabled.

Logon to the Journal  Top

The logon form can be accessed using the "Logon" link on the subscription page. The logon form is shown in figure 2 below.

Users can use the "Forgot username and password" link to reset the password for the account.

The "Register here" link displays the register form so that new users can register with the journal.

Subscribe to the Journal  Top

The subscription options are displayed on the subscription page after successful logon. If the user has an active subscription, the end date of that subscription would be displayed. If the user does not have an active subscription, the subscription options would be displayed. These are displayed in figure 3 below.

The user will be directed to the online store to complete the transaction.

The subscription manager will be notified of the payment and when it is verified, the subscription will be made active. The user will receive an email when the subscription has been made active.

Purchase Issue  Top

Users without an active subscription can purchase issues of the journal. Users will need to register with the journal in order to purchase issues.

The user will navigate to the issue to be purchased (using the current issue or archive options in the menu) and click on the PDF link in the Full Issue entry of the table of contents as shown in figure 4 below.

The user would be directed to the logon form if the user has not already logged on. The subscription options are displayed after successful logon. These options are shown in figure 5 below.

The user can then select the purchase issue option and will be directed to the online store to complete the transaction.

The subscription manager will be notified of the payment and when it is verified, the user will be given access to the issue. The user will receive an email when access has been granted.

Users can access the purchased issues by navigating to the issue (using the current issue or archive options in the menu) or the "Issues purchased" section of the subscription page. The "Issues purchased" section on the subscription page is visible after successful logon.

A user automatically gets access to all the articles in the issue(s) purchased when the articles are accessed from the table of contents of that issue.

Purchase Article  Top

Users without an active subscription can purchase individual articles of the journal. Users will need to register with the journal in order to purchase issues.

The user will navigate to the issue containing the article to be purchased (using the current issue or archive options in the menu) and click on the PDF link next to the article title.

The user will be directed to the logon form if the user has not already logged on. The subscription options are displayed after successful logon. These options are shown in figure 6 below.

The user can then select the purchase article option and will be directed to the online store to complete the transaction.

The subscription manager will be notified of the payment and when it is verified, the user will be given access to the article. The user will receive an email when access has been granted.

Users can access the purchased articles by navigating to the issue containing the article (using the current issue or archive options in the menu) or the "Articles purchased" section of the subscription page. The "Articles purchased" section on the subscription page is visible after successful logon.

Make payments in the online store  Top

The subscription options displayed on the subcription page after logon would direct the user to the online store to complete the transaction.

The store the user is directed to depends on the subscription option selected. The regular subscription store is shown in figure 7.

The subscription is added to the cart by clicking on the "Add To Cart" button. The cart is then displayed as shown in figure 8.

The user can then checkout by clicking on the "Checkout" button. The contact information form is then displayed. as shown in figure 9.

The email address is required. The store will send the receipt to this email address. The payment method form is then displayed when the user enters the email address and clicks on the "Continue Unregistered" button. The form is shown in figure 10.

The user can enter the credit card details and click on the "Continue" button. The transaction details are displayed for the user to review and confirm the payment. The receipt is then displayed and the user will receive a copy in email.

The subscription manager will then be notified of the payment and when it has been verified, the user will be given access to the item subscribed to. The user will receive an email from the subscription manger when the subscription has been made active.

The other subscription options will follow a similar workflow (the payment would vary depending on the subscription).
