Ten Years of Social Work Education in Trinidad and Tobago: An Evaluation

Social work education at under-graduate level began at The University of the West Indies, Trinidad and Tobago in 1990. This paper examines the development of the programme which includes the forces that contributed to the establishment of social work education on the St. Augustine campus, the current curriculum, its strengths and weaknesses and challenges that need to be addressed in order to prepare persons to intervene in addressing social problems in the 21st century.
