Geography - Its Emergence on the Secondary Schools Curriculum in Trinidad and Tobago

This article will attempt to trace some developments in geographic education (in Trinidad and Tobago) which while having some positive effects in the development of the country, might have had some of the negative outcomes. It focusses firstly on earlier developments in the subject during the colonial experience and then on the recent attempts to indigenize and make the geography curriculum more relevant.
